On June 7, 2012, Cravath Presiding Partner Evan R. Chesler received the Chambers USA Award for Excellence in the “Litigation: Business Trial Lawyers” category. Evan accepted the award at a reception and dinner held in New York City. He is widely regarded as one of the top litigators in the country for his outstanding in-court presence and ability to handle bet-the-company disputes in a broad range of subjects. Evan currently represents JPMorgan Chase in nationwide residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) litigation and American Express in multiple antitrust class actions and DOJ litigation.
