On June 23, 2009, Cravath partner Faiza J. Saeed spoke at the “Eighth Annual International Mergers and Acquisitions Conference,” a two-day conference in New York City presented by the International Bar Association’s Corporate and M&A Law Committee and supported by the IBA’s North American Regional Forum. Faiza spoke on a panel entitled “Current M&A Issues,” during which she discussed recent M&A developments in the United States and other jurisdictions. Topics included structures and provisions that address the difficulties posed by conditions in the financing markets, market checks, MAC clauses, hostile deals and derivatives and M&A.
