Four Decades for Justice

On February 10, 2015, Cravath partners John W. White, Chair of the Firm’s Corporate Governance and Board Advisory practice, and Faiza J. Saeed, Co‑Head of the Firm’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice, spoke at “Corporate Governance ‑ A Master Class 2015,” a conference presented by the Practicing Law Institute and held in New York City. John moderated a panel entitled “Accounting Meets Governance ‑ Further Evolution of Audit Committee Roles,” which discussed issues foremost in the minds of audit committee members, including the new revenue recognition standard, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) inspections and growing audit committee responsibilities beyond the oversight of financial reporting, such as oversight of cybersecurity risks. Faiza spoke on a panel entitled “Delaware Law Update ‑ The Evolving Rules of the Road,” which discussed best practices for boards of directors and financial advisors in the M&A context and recent developments in Delaware law.
