On October 30, 2009, Cravath partners Paul C. Saunders and Stuart W. Gold participated in a New York State Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law convocation on the topic of lawyer independence. Paul, as chair of the Institute, delivered the opening statement and Stu participated in a panel discussion entitled “Function of General Counsel at the Large Law Firm: Alternatives and Issues of Independence.”
