This practical guide to the regulation and operation of the securities markets in Europe, written by a team of experts from across the European Union, examines the complex regulatory backdrop to the current financial crisis and market volatility, provides critical commentary on the effect of the five key EU Directives, considers nuances in national implementation and practice in 14 member states and examines the practice of equity and debt offerings, private placements and takeovers. Cravath partner Andrew R. Thompson contributed a chapter entitled “Special Considerations for Non-EU Issuers.”
