Four Cravath partners were featured speakers at the International Bar Association’s 2010 Annual Conference, which was held October 3-8, 2010, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Richard Hall spoke on a panel entitled “Dissecting the Deal,” which discussed and analyzed some of the world’s most significant transactions from 2009 and 2010. Richard also spoke on a panel entitled “The Use of Derivatives in M&A,” which focused on the relevant issues and techniques when using derivatives in M&A transactions. David Mercado chaired a session entitled “New Capital Markets Products,” which discussed the development of new capital market products in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. Eric W. Hilfers spoke on a panel entitled “Executive Compensation – Where are we now?,” which explored recent changes to executive pay practices and how global corporations are reacting to the new executive compensation landscape. Damien R. Zoubek spoke on a panel entitled “When M&A Transactions Go Wrong: The Resolution of Disputes Arising out of M&A Transactions,” which examined M&A activity and the importance of managing dispute risks in transactions.
