David S. Finkelstein is a partner in Cravath’s Trusts and Estates Department. His practice focuses on providing estate planning, tax and other advice to high net worth individuals and families in order to achieve clients’ goals for the disposition of their estates in the most advantageous manner.

In addition, in his role as partner in the Trusts and Estates Department, Mr. Finkelstein serves as a trustee of numerous trusts and also advises individual and corporate trustees on their roles and responsibilities as a trustee.

Mr. Finkelstein is from Great Neck, New York. He received a B.A. cum laude from Harvard University in 1994, a J.D. magna cum laude from Fordham University in 1998, where he was an associate editor of the Fordham Law Review, and a Masters in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University in 2000. He joined Cravath in 1998 and became a partner in 2005.
