Viewed as a necessary adjunct to every Cravath litigator’s practice, the Firm’s “white collar”/investigations practice also draws strength from the expertise and experience of the Firm’s others lawyers, who include former SEC officials. In every matter where the risk, no matter how small, of criminal prosecution or regulatory sanction is present, the Firm’s primary goal is the elimination or management of that risk through vigorous advocacy on the client’s behalf, coupled, when appropriate, with forthright cooperation. A subsidiary, but important, goal is also the minimization of adverse publicity to the extent consistent with any disclosure obligations the client may have.
