Cravath represented the initial purchasers, led by J.P. Morgan Securities, BofA Securities and Wells Fargo Securities, in connection with the $500 million 144A/Reg. S floating rate and senior notes offering of Albemarle Corporation and Albemarle Wodgina Pty Ltd. Albemarle Corporation is a leading global developer, manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered specialty chemicals across end markets including petroleum refining, consumer electronics, plastics/packaging, construction, automotive, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, crop protection, food safety and custom chemistry services. Albemarle Wodgina Pty Ltd owns a 60% interest in the Wodgina hard rock lithium mining project in Western Australia. The transaction closed on November 25, 2019.

Cravath represented Albemarle Corporation in connection with its $2.3 billion public offering of depositary shares, each representing a 1/20th interest in a share of Series A Mandatory Convertible Preferred Stock of Albemarle, at a public offering price of $50 per share. Albemarle leads the world in transforming essential resources into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity and health. The transaction closed on March 8, 2024.
