Cravath’s Successful Representation of AmEx before the U.S. Supreme Court Featured in Lawdragon

In its 2018 issue, Lawdragon published a feature highlighting Cravath’s role representing American Express Company in its longstanding antitrust dispute with the United States government over merchant acceptance rules, which culminated in the June 2018 Supreme Court victory in Ohio, et al. v. American Express Co., et al. The article, entitled “Redemption Road: Cravath’s Supreme Court Victory for American Express,” featured Cravath partners Evan R. Chesler, Peter T. Barbur and Kevin J. Orsini, and discussed the Firm’s decade‑long journey in the case and the significance of the two‑sided market theory employed by the Cravath team.
