Cravath partner David J. Kappos participated in the “Public Policy Forum on Coordination and Collusion in Standard Development Organizations – Governance and Antitrust Implications,” a panel discussion presented by The Searle Center on Law, Regulation, and Economic Growth of the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and held in Washington, D.C. on October 25, 2018. The panel focused on the application of antitrust law to Standard Setting Organizations (“SSOs”), discussing the antitrust implications of evolving forms of coordination among SSO participants, principles of good conduct in SSO governance and policy development, and the role of diversity and coordination among SSOs.
