Four Decades for Justice

On October 2, 2014, two Cravath partners participated in the American Bar Association’s National Institute on International Regulation and Compliance: FCPA, Economic Sanctions and Export Control, held in Washington, D.C. David M. Stuart moderated a panel entitled “Regulatory Pitfalls in M&A and Other Cross‑Border Business Activities,” which discussed the regulatory issues and risks stemming from cross‑border transactions. John D. Buretta spoke on a panel entitled “Collateral Damage from U.S. Enforcement Actions: Follow‑on Civil Litigation and ‘Carbon Copy’ Enforcement Actions,” in which John discussed advising senior management and boards of directors in the course of investigations about shareholder fiduciary claims and records demands, securities actions, suspension and debarment and other regulatory considerations.
