John White Speaks on International Governance and Accounting

On April 25, 2011, Cravath partner John W. White spoke at PLI’s “Global Capital Markets & the U.S. Securities Laws 2011: Strategies for the Changing Regulatory Environment” conference in New York City. John participated in a panel entitled “Corporate Governance,” which dealt with regulatory responses to perceived corporate governance failures and measures to strengthen governance, as well as a global look at executive compensation. He also spoke on a panel entitled “IFRS and Other Accounting Matters,” which discussed International Financial Reporting Standards, prospective changes in global accounting standards, the SEC’s work plan in this area and the potential effect upon U.S. issuers.
