Four Decades for Justice
April 3, 2019
On April 1, 2019, Cravath partner Julie North joined Syracuse University College of Law Dean and Professor of Law Craig M. Boise for a lunchtime discussion at the Convocation of the Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law, which seeks to uphold and advance professionalism in the legal community. Their conversation focused on the long‑simmering debate about whether experiential training should be a mandatory part of law schools’ curricula, or a requirement for attorneys seeking admission to the bar. The Convocation, organized in large part around this question, was held in White Plains, N.Y., and featured contributions from retired Cravath partner Paul C. Saunders as well as practicing attorneys, judges and legal scholars.
Celebrating 200 years of partnership. In 2019, we celebrated our bicentennial. Our history mirrors that of our nation. Integral to our story is our culture.
