Katherine Forrest Delivers the CSUSA's 48th Annual Donald C. Brace Memorial Lecture

On November 5, 2018, Cravath partner Katherine B. Forrest, former U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, delivered the Copyright Society of the U.S.A.’s 48th Annual Donald C. Brace Memorial Lecture, which was held at Fordham University in New York. In her address, entitled “Copyright Law and Artificial Intelligence: Emerging Issues,” she discussed the evolution of artificial intelligence and its impact on copyright and other areas of the law. The Lecture series, which is presented annually in memory of publisher Donald C. Brace, founder of Harcourt, Brace & Co., has featured judges, lawyers, policymakers, publishers and academics for more than four decades.
