Four Decades for Justice
August 26, 2019
On August 23, 2019, Cravath partner Richard W. Clary participated in Vanderbilt Law School’s “International Class Actions Conference.” Rich spoke on the “Judges and Practitioners Panel,” during which he discussed the derivations of the U.S. model of using private individuals and entities as lead plaintiffs in class actions, and the tradeoffs of that model versus the developing international approach of using qualified not‑for‑profit entities, such as NGOs, as the lead plaintiff.
Celebrating 200 years of partnership. In 2019, we celebrated our bicentennial. Our history mirrors that of our nation. Integral to our story is our culture.
