Four Decades for Justice
On May 22, 2014, Unilever announced that it has signed an agreement for the sale of its North America pasta sauces business under the Ragu and Bertolli brands to Mizkan Group for a total cash consideration of approximately US$2.15 billion. Cravath represented Unilever in connection with this transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions and is expected to close by the end of June. The transaction includes two production facilities – a sauce processing and packaging facility in Owensboro, Kentucky, and a tomato processing facility in Stockton, California.

On May 30, 2022, Unilever, one of the world’s leading suppliers of Beauty & Personal Care, Home Care, and Foods & Refreshment products, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Nutrafol, a leading provider of hair wellness products. Unilever currently holds a minority stake (13.2%) in Nutrafol through Unilever Ventures. Cravath is representing Unilever in connection with the transaction.
