Four Decades for Justice
August 30, 2019
Cravath counsel Evan Norris authored a chapter entitled “How Enforcement Authorities Interact” for The Investigations Review of the Americas 2020, which was published by the Global Investigations Review. His chapter discusses the growing number of cross‑border investigations and consequent evolution of mechanisms for international cooperation, including mutual legal assistance treaty requests, requests to freeze and seize assets, and arrest and extradition. Evan discusses the ways in which methods of interaction between enforcement authorities will inevitably undergo further transformation as they look for practical and efficient ways to gather evidence and respond to changes in the legal landscape.
