On December 11, 2017, Cravath was named one of the 25 most innovative law firms in the Financial Times’s annual “North America Innovative Lawyers” report. Inclusion in the “FT 25” is based on the originality, leadership and impact of a firm’s work. The Firm was recognized in three categories: “Litigation and Disputes,” “Managing Complexity and Scale” and “Enabling Business Growth.”
In the “Litigation and Disputes” category, the Firm was recognized for obtaining the reversal of class certification in litigation against its client Mylan concerning alleged “reverse‑payment” settlement agreements. In the “Enabling Business Growth” category, the Firm was recognized for its work on behalf of both DHT Holdings in connection with its acquisition of BW Group’s very large crude carriers (VLCC) fleet and Johnson & Johnson in connection with its $30 billion acquisition of Actelion. In the “Managing Complexity and Scale” category, the Firm was recognized for its work on behalf of Brookfield Asset Management in connection with its acquisition of TerraForm Global and TerraForm Power.
