James D. Cooper retired from Cravath’s Corporate Department in December 2017. He represented and advised banking clients in a wide variety of domestic and international financing transactions, including financings of mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations and spin‑offs, working capital financings and various special‑purpose financings. Mr. Cooper also counseled corporate borrowers negotiating financing arrangements with banks and other financial institutions. Mr. Cooper was named Best Lawyers’ 2014 New York City “Lawyer of the Year” for Banking & Finance Law.
