Andy Needham Speaks at PLI’s 2017 Tax Planning Conference

Cravath partner Andrew W. Needham spoke at “Tax Planning for Domestic & Foreign Partnerships, LLCs, Joint Ventures & Other Strategic Alliances 2017,” a conference presented by the Practising Law Institute, which was held May 2‑4, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. Andy spoke on a panel entitled “Implications of Section 704(c) for Negotiating a Partnership Agreement,” which addressed tax disparities and how partnership tax rules deal with these differences through the mechanics of Section 704(c) and reverse Section 704(c) allocations, as well as partnership agreement anti‑abuse provisions and planning concepts.
