On October 31, 2023, Cravath partner Arvind Ravichandran participated in the 58th Annual Southern Federal Tax Institute, which was held from October 30-November 3, 2023, in Atlanta, GA. The event, designed for practitioners who must frequently anticipate and handle federal tax matters, hosted as speakers tax practitioners and scholars from across the country. Arvind delivered a presentation entitled “FIRPTA: A General Refresher and Discussion of Common Planning Considerations,” which reviewed tax issues and strategies for foreign investments in United States real property.
