Bloomberg Law Publishes Articles by Jeff Dinwoodie on Fixed Income and Alternative Trading System (ATS) Regulation

October 19, 2023

On October 11 and 12, 2023, Bloomberg Law published a pair of articles written by Cravath partner Jeffrey T. Dinwoodie. The companion articles—which include a shorter essay adapted from the more in‑depth piece—discuss the SEC’s proposal to redraw the regulatory perimeter as it applies to technologies that help facilitate fixed income trading. The articles explain the SEC’s historical approach to this area of market regulation. They also discuss complexities that the SEC will need to navigate if it seeks to finalize the proposal.
