CFTC Issues Significant Relief from Reporting for Swaps between Members of a Corporate Group

On April 8, 2013, Cravath prepared for its clients a memo entitled “CFTC Issues Significant Relief from Reporting for Swaps between Members of a Corporate Group.” The memo summarizes the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s letter issued on April 5, 2013, which significantly eases the reporting obligations of members of a corporate group that enter into swaps with their affiliates when no member of the corporate group is a swap dealer or a major swap participant.
