Cravath Publishes Quarterly Review on Q2 2022 Trends in M&A, Activism and Corporate Governance

On July 29, 2022, Cravath published the latest edition of its Quarterly Review, which examines the Q2 2022 M&A, activism and corporate governance landscape. The Review provides an overview of activity in those areas, highlights notable cases in the M&A space, shares trends in activism activity and notes key developments in corporate governance over the period. This edition examines the slowdown in the global M&A market despite recording the eighth consecutive quarter to surpass $1 trillion in announced deal value. The Review also highlights other second quarter and first half developments, including the decline in the SPAC market, increasing antitrust scrutiny, recent Delaware cases, proposed amendments to Delaware corporate law, updates to the SEC’s regulatory agenda and the strengthening of export controls against Russia.
