Cravath Tops 2016 Year‑End M&A League Tables for Cross‑Border and European Deal Work

In 2016 year‑end M&A league table results, Cravath topped law firm rankings for advising on the largest cross‑border and Europe‑based deals announced in the last year. Bloomberg ranked the Firm No. 1 for cross‑border announced deals (by volume). In Europe, for announced deals (by volume), Cravath was ranked No. 1 by Bloomberg, Dealogic and Thomson Reuters.

Bloomberg, Dealogic and Thomson Reuters also noted the pending $109 billion acquisition of Time Warner by AT&T, for which Cravath is advising Time Warner, as the largest deal of the year globally. Other highlights from the last year include Cravath’s role representing British American Tobacco in its proposed $93 billion merger with Reynolds American, and Linde in its proposed $65 billion merger of equals with Praxair.
