Damaris Hernández Speaks to Students of the 2017 Law & Justice Institute

On July 10, 2017, Cravath partner Damaris Hernández spoke to an audience of participants in the 2017 Law & Justice Institute, a five‑week program for rising ninth‑grade female students intended to inspire them to strive for academic excellence and to pursue careers in law. Damaris led a session at Columbia Law School, entitled “RISE: Roadmap to Inspiration, Sisterhood, and Empowerment,” the programming theme for the Law & Justice Institute’s Guest Speaker Program. Damaris discussed her journey to partnership at Cravath and, joined by associate Margarita M. Botero and summer associate Malavika Madgavkar, conducted a litigation exercise to introduce the students to the responsibilities of a practicing litigator.
