Dave Kappos Delivers Keynote at USPTO Post‑Grant Patent Trial Program

On March 27, 2013, Cravath partner David J. Kappos delivered a keynote address at “USPTO Post‑Grant Patent Trials 2013,” a conference presented by the Practising Law Institute and held in New York City. Dave discussed the recent transition to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) trial proceedings, including inter‑partes review and covered business method review, and the ongoing progress of the PTO in commencing those proceedings brought on by the America Invents Act.
