Dave Kappos Receives Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award from The Burton Awards

On February 20, 2018, Cravath partner David J. Kappos was named a recipient of a 2018 “Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award” by The Burton Awards, a non‑profit program run in association with the Library of Congress. Presented by lead sponsor Law360, and co‑sponsored by the American Bar Association, the awards honor lawyers who have written articles recognized for “clarity, cogency, and persuasive legal writing.” Dave was recognized for his article, “Open Source Software and Standards Development Organizations: Symbiotic Functions in the Innovation Equation,” which was published on February 20, 2017 in The Columbia Science and Technology Law Review. The Burton Awards will be presented at a ceremony on May 21, 2018, at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
