Dave Kappos Speaks at IAM’s 2016 Patent Law and Policy Conference

On November 15, 2016, Cravath partner David J. Kappos participated in Intellectual Asset Management’s “Patent Law and Policy 2016” conference, which was held in Washington, D.C. Dave spoke on a panel entitled “Ready for...? Patent Policy in the New Administration and the New Congress,” which discussed key topics on the patent legislative agenda, including patent venue reform, a solution to uncertainty around Section 101 of the Patent Act and changes to the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Dave also moderated a panel entitled “On Review: Four Years of the PTAB,” which discussed developments in the PTAB and the effects of its reviews on patent litigation strategy.
