Dave Kappos Speaks at the Leahy Institute of Advanced Patent Studies’s 2018 Conference

Cravath partner David J. Kappos participated in the Leahy Institute of Patent Studies’s third annual conference, which was presented by The Naples Roundtable and held from February 18-20, 2018, in Naples, Florida. In his role as Chair of the Naples Roundtable Advisory Board, Dave delivered opening remarks for the conference, spoke on a panel, and moderated another panel. The first panel considered whether the America Invents Act has strengthened the patent system and decreased the cost of removing invalid patents. The second panel explored the extent to which the patent system is affected by extraterritorial enforcement of unfair competition and intellectual property laws.
