First Solar’s Acquisition of OptiSolar Business

On March 3, 2009, First Solar, Inc. announced that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement for a $400 million all-stock transaction in which it will acquire all of the project development business of OptiSolar Inc. This transaction is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2009.

The lawyers involved in this transaction include partners Erik R. Tavzel and Stephen L. Burns and associates Mile T. Kurta, Kathryn R. Watkins, Brendon S. Prebble, James A. Wawrzyniak Jr. and Meir Dominitz on corporate matters and partner Michael L. Schler and associate Sonia Rodriguez Garcia on tax matters.
