Freescale’s IPO

Cravath represented the underwriters, led by Citi, Deutsche Bank Securities, Barclays Capital, Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan Securities, in connection with the US$783 million initial public offering of common stock of Freescale Semiconductor Holdings I, Ltd. Freescale is a portfolio company of a consortium of private equity sponsors, including The Blackstone Group, The Carlyle Group, Permira Advisers and TPG Capital, and is a global leader in embedded processing solutions. The transaction closed on June 1, 2011.

The Cravath team included partner Andrew J. Pitts and associates Fleur J. Knowsley, Gregory J. Ligelis Jr. and Robert G. Little on corporate matters and partner Michael L. Schler on tax matters.
