Frontier’s Acquisition of Verizon Access Lines

On May 13, 2009, Frontier Communications Corporation and Verizon Communications Inc. announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement for an $8.6 billion all-stock spin-merger transaction in which Frontier will acquire 4.6 million access lines from Verizon.

The lawyers involved in this transaction include partners Robert I. Townsend, III, Craig F. Arcella and George F. Schoen and associates Charles Y. Ching, Dean M. Mades, Jose R.
