March 29, 2019
On March 26, 2019, Global Competition Review (“GCR”) honored Cravath at its ninth annual awards ceremony with a 2019 “Behavioural Matter of the Year—Americas” award for representing American Express in its U.S. Supreme Court victory in one of the most significant government antitrust enforcement actions in history. The Firm was also recognized in the “Merger Control Matter of the Year—Americas” category for its successful representation of Time Warner in an antitrust lawsuit filed by the DOJ seeking to block Time Warner’s $109 billion acquisition by AT&T. The awards recognize landmark matters demonstrating strategic and innovative work by teams of in‑house and external lawyers and economists, based on a vote of GCR readers.
