IBM Acquires Technology from Blekko, Inc.

On March 27, 2015, IBM announced that it has acquired certain technology from Blekko, Inc. Cravath represented IBM in connection with this transaction. Blekko brings advanced web‑crawling, categorization and filtering technology. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Cravath team was led by partner George F. Schoen and included associates Nicholas A. Dorsey and Matthew J. Aldana on M&A matters; associate Amy C. Benford on executive compensation and benefits matters; partner Andrew W. Needham and associate Debra M. Aboodi on tax matters; and partner Matthew Morreale on environmental matters. Eric D. Rinder also worked on M&A matters.
