IBM’s Acquisition of Lighthouse Security Group

On August 11, 2014, IBM announced it has acquired the business operations of Lighthouse Security Group, LLC, a premier cloud security services provider. Lighthouse Security Group is a subsidiary of long‑time IBM business partner Lighthouse Computer Services, Inc. Cravath represented IBM in connection with this transaction. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Cravath team included partner George F. Schoen and associate Edmund Mokhtarian on M&A matters; partner J. Leonard Teti II and associate Jay S. Gill on tax matters; and partner Matthew Morreale on environmental matters. Matthew J. Bobby also worked on executive compensation and benefits matters and summer associate Catalina Parkinson also worked on M&A matters.
