IBM’s Acquisition of Technology Assets from Catalogic Software

On May 24, 2021, IBM announced that it acquired technology assets and the associated engineering teams from Catalogic Software, a provider of data protection, copy data management and data resiliency solutions. Cravath represented IBM in connection with the transaction.
The Cravath team was led by partner George F. Schoen and included associates William F. Roegge and Joshua L. Bowman on corporate matters; associate Aaron J. Feuer on executive compensation and benefits matters; and partner J. Leonard Teti II and senior attorney Kiran Sheffrin on tax matters. Paul A. Bryant also worked on corporate matters.
