The winners will be announced on June 11, 2026 at an awards ceremony in New York.

On March 20, 2026, Cravath partner G.J. Ligelis Jr. participated in the 38th Annual Tulane Corporate Law Institute, which was hosted by Tulane University Law School from March 19‑20 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event featured discussions between M&A and securities practitioners, Delaware Supreme Court and Court of Chancery judiciary, corporate counsel and investment bankers on topics in M&A, corporate and securities law. G.J. spoke on a panel entitled “The Shareholder Proposal Process.”

Cravath partners Andrew C. Finch and Noah Joshua Phillips participated in the American Bar Association’s 2026 Antitrust Spring Meeting, which was held from March 25‑27, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The meeting is a gathering of academics, economists, enforcers and legal service providers, as well as competition, consumer protection and data privacy professionals to share domestic and international perspectives on competition, consumer protection and data privacy law.

On March 24, 2026, Cravath partners Robert I. Townsend III, Michael E. Mariani and Jin‑Kyu Baek were featured as 2026 “Dealmakers of the Year” by The American Lawyer in recognition of their representation of Kenvue in its $48.7 billion acquisition by Kimberly‑Clark. Putting together two companies of their size “is always a complex process,” said Mike. Added Bob, “from the Kenvue perspective, there was definitely a desire to either get to a transaction or pursue one of the other strategic alternatives” the board had considered – “it was a tremendous effort by the entire [Kenvue] management team.”

Cerqueira participated in the International Bar Association’s “Mergers and Acquisitions in Latin America — Building Bridges Through Business: Rethinking M&A in the Americas,” which took place from March 23‑25 in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Dan co‑chaired a session entitled “Cross‑Border M&A: Legal and Regulatory Challenges in Latin America,” which examined issues surrounding the navigation of complex legal, regulatory, cultural and compliance‑related challenges in cross‑border deals.

On March 24, 2026, Cravath partner Elad Roisman participated in Blockworks’ Digital Asset Summit 2026 in New York. The summit hosted asset managers, financial institutions, crypto service providers, allocators and policy makers and regulators to discuss onchain institutional finance, digital assets in public markets, stablecoins and global payments, DeFi and risk management and U.S. and global digital asset policy. Elad interviewed SEC Chairman Paul Atkins in a keynote conversation.

Cravath partner Elad Roisman participated in “The SEC Speaks in 2026,” a program presented by the Practising Law Institute in cooperation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from March 19‑20, 2026, in Washington, D.C. The program provided an essential update on the current initiatives and priorities at the Commission through panel discussions by senior staff at the Divisions of Investment Management, Trading and Markets, Corporation Finance, Enforcement, Examinations and Economic and Risk Analysis, and the Offices of the Chief Accountant, General Counsel and more. Elad moderated the Division of Corporation Finance and Division of Trading and Markets panels alongside other former SEC Commissioners.

Steve spoke during a session entitled “ISDA Equity Derivatives Documentation and ISDA Equity Definitions,” which discussed derivatives documentation structures, including master equity confirmation agreements, valuation, payment and delivery and analyzed market disruption events under the ISDA Equity Definitions.

The profile highlighted the Firm’s trial victory for American Express, in which a jury unanimously found the company not liable for antitrust claims in a class action suit, and the successful dismissal of more than 50 lawsuits in MDL proceedings for Louis Dreyfus Co. The profile also recognized Cravath’s work for Epic Games, which includes securing a nationwide permanent injunction against Google after a trial victory that was later affirmed on appeal, and its representation of a Special Committee of Paramount Global’s board of directors in the company’s $28 billion merger with Skydance Media.

Scott moderated a panel entitled “Recent Developments in Digital Assets and Tokenization,” which explored the impact of tokenization, ETFs and digital asset treasury companies, new crypto legislation and what lies ahead. Justin moderated a panel entitled “Private Securities Litigation – 2025 Developments and Trends,” which analyzed trends in securities class action filings, case law updates and new and developing issues.

On February 24, 2026, Cravath partner David J. Kappos participated in Stanford University’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance’s “Lawyering in the Age of AI Series: Boardroom Playbook for AI” in Palo Alto, California. The session examined how legal risk and competitive advantage are increasingly being shaped in the boardroom as AI becomes embedded across products, operations and decision‑making. Dave offered insights into how lawyers are advising companies and boards on navigating AI‑related crises and capitalizing on AI‑enabled opportunities.
