Cravath partner John D. Buretta authored a chapter on cooperating with U.S. authorities during a government investigation in Global Investigations Review’s fifth edition of “The Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations,” which published in March 2021.
The chapter, entitled “Co‑operating with the Authorities: U.S. Perspective,” was featured in “Volume I: Global Investigations in the United Kingdom and the United States” and co‑authored by Cravath practice attorney Megan Y. Lew and associate Courtney A. Gans. It analyzes how U.S. government authorities consider cooperation, benefits and drawbacks to cooperation and unique challenges presented in multi‑agency and cross‑border investigations.
