John White and Sophia Tawil Speak at PLI’s 52nd Annual Institute on Securities Regulation Program

Cravath partner John W. White and deputy general counsel Sophia D. Tawil participated in the “52nd Annual Institute on Securities Regulation,” a program held virtually by the Practising Law Institute from November 4-6, 2020. John moderated a panel entitled “Accounting and Auditing Developments,” which analyzed the appropriateness of COVID-19 adjustments, application of the new acquisition disclosure and pro forma rules, and implementing internal controls and completing audits in a work from home setting. Sophia spoke on a panel entitled “Ethical Issues in Transactional Settings,” which discussed issues presented by client confidentiality obligations, conflicts in bankruptcy matters and compliance with foreign regulations.
