John White Chairs and Ting Chen Speaks at Northwestern’s 2022 Securities Regulation Institute

On January 25, 2022, Cravath partners John W. White and Ting Chen participated in Northwestern School of Law’s 49th Annual Securities Regulation Institute, which was held virtually from January 24‑26, 2022. John chaired a panel entitled “Accounting and Auditing in 2022: The Challenges Continue,” which discussed recent financial reporting developments at the SEC, controls surrounding ESG metrics and disclosures of performance and non‑GAAP measures. Ting spoke on a panel entitled “M&A Trends and Developments,” which discussed the state of the M&A marketplace, regulatory issues in M&A deals, including the expanding role of CFIUS in cross‑border inbound M&A transactions, and the difference between private equity sellers and serial strategic buyers.
