John White Chairs Panel at 34th Annual Corporate and Securities Law Institute

On May 2, 2014, Cravath partner John W. White, Chair of the Firm’s Corporate Governance and Board Advisory practice, participated in the 34th Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute, held at Northwestern University Law School in Chicago. John served as chair of a panel entitled “Developments in the Relationships Between Audit Committees and Auditors.” Panelists, including James Doty, Chairman of the Public Company Accounting Standards Board, discussed the recent focus on audit committees, key regulatory developments from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and what company counsel need to know today about financial reporting, auditors and auditing committees.
