John White Moderates Accounting Panel at PLI’s 50th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation

Cravath partner John W. White participated in the Practising Law Institute’s 50th Annual Institute on Securities Regulation, held on November 7‑9, 2018, in New York. John moderated a panel entitled “Accounting and Auditing Developments” that included Wes Bricker, the SEC’s Chief Accountant, and Kyle Moffatt, the Division of Corporation Finance’s Chief Accountant. Topics covered included revenue recognition, leasing, the PCAOB’s new proposed strategic plan, critical audit matters and the growing use of artificial intelligence in accounting and auditing.
