John White Moderates, and Karin DeMasi Speaks at, PLI’s 43rd Annual Securities Regulation Institute

On November 11, 2011, Cravath partners John W. White and Karin A. DeMasi participated in the 43rd Annual Securities Regulation Institute, presented by the Practising Law Institute and held in New York City. John moderated a panel entitled “Intersection of Legal Ethics and Financial Reporting,” which discussed the disclosure of loss contingencies, limitations on responses to auditors, audit firm rotation and lawyers’ professional responsibilities when confronted with securities law violations. Karin spoke on a panel entitled “Key Issues in Private Securities Litigation,” which focused on recent trends in securities litigation, the post-financial crisis litigation, trends in Delaware shareholder suits and recent decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court.
