John White Speaks at 32nd Annual Corporate and Securities Law Institute

On May 3, 2012, Cravath partner John W. White spoke at the 32nd Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute, held at Northwestern University Law School in Chicago. John spoke on a panel entitled “Hot Accounting and Audit Issues,” which discussed recent initiatives of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), including audit committee communications and mandatory rotation of audit firms. Recent accounting issues discussed included matters arising under the JOBS Act, disclosure expectations for loss contingencies, segment reporting and the latest developments with respect to convergence and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
