Keith Hummel Speaks at PLI's “Patent Litigation 2020” Program

On November 2, 2020, Cravath partner Keith R. Hummel participated in “Patent Litigation 2020: Advanced Techniques & Best Practices,” a program held virtually by the Practising Law Institute. Keith spoke on a panel entitled “Making the Technical Issues of a Patent Case Come to Life: Effective Opening Statements that Tell a Persuasive Story to the Trier of Fact,” which reviewed how to present a compelling story to a jury or judge and use discovery to modify themes as more evidence emerges. The panel also included a demonstration of opening statements in a patent jury trial.
