Cravath’s London Office Moves to 100 Cheapside
On September 8, 2008, Magnesita Refratários S.A. announced that it had agreed to acquire LWB Refractories GmbH & Co. from Rhone Capital LLC for an assumed cash and equity consideration of €277 million. The combined companies are expected to be the third-largest producer of refractories in the world. Cravath advised Magnesita on U.S. law aspects and coordinated local counsels advising the company in other relevant jurisdictions, including Hengeler Mueller in Germany, Bredin Prat in France, Stibbe in Belgium and Commerce & Finance Law Offices in China.
