Mike Schler and Steve Gordon Speak at Federal Tax Institute

On November 11, 2011, Cravath partners Michael L. Schler and Stephen L. Gordon spoke at the 64th Annual Federal Tax Conference, presented by the University of Chicago Law School. Mike participated in a presentation entitled “Overlap in Corporate Reorganizations,” which discussed Overlap Transactions, focusing on why they have developed, the issues they raise and the potential solutions. Steve gave a presentation entitled “How Much Regard for Disregarded Entities?,” in which he focused on current guidance, unintended results of the disregarded entity rules and recommendations regarding how the rules should be applied in the future.
