Mike Schler and Steve Gordon Speak at Tax Strategies Conference

Two Cravath partners participated in “Tax Strategies for Corporate Acquisitions, Dispositions, Spin‑Offs, Joint Ventures, Financings, Reorganizations & Restructurings,” a conference presented by the Practising Law Institute and held in Los Angeles, California, on December 4 - 6, 2013.

Stephen L. Gordon spoke on a panel entitled “Structuring Leveraged Buyouts,” which discussed proposed regulations on Corporate Equity Reduction Transactions (CERTs), issues for investment funds arising from the recent Sun Capital case and the timing of compensation and other deductions related to M&A transactions. Michael L. Schler spoke on a panel entitled “Consolidated Return Planning and Strategies,” which discussed current issues involving consolidated tax returns.
